Like us old guys like to do: I'm gonna tell you a story whether you want to hear it or not.
These are rips I did a long time ago on a Pentium 1, don't remember the processer speed but it came with 32 meg of RAM, (yes MEG) I put in a module to boost it to 96 meg. Had a 3.8 gig hard drive and Windows98 took up most of it so storage was a big problem. Only had enough space to record 1 or 2 tapes or lps at a time, then had to delete it when I had the cd done to make space for the next one. Used an external cd burner and burned all the rips to audio cds. It took forever, almost my whole 8 hour shift to edit the wav I recorded at home and burn 1 cd. Haha.
Why audio cds? Yes I could have converted to mp3s and been able to get more on each cd, but at that time nothing else would play mp3 cds. You could only listen to them on a computer. No home, car or portable player would play them yet. It was probably around 2005 that I got a combo dvd/cd player for my home system that would play mp3 cds. My 2003 van had a 6 disc cd changer that would only play audio cds. Finally my 2008 played the mp3 ones. Anyway as you hear you can always rip the audio cds I burned.
Also beta tested one of the first cd rippers AudioCatalyst. Thanks to John Delaney of the UK who gave me that and Goldwave. CD burner came with Nero 1 & Diamond Cut Audio Restoration Tools, I still use later versions of all of them.

I still have a few comps to rip, most of my other cds are Slayer, Voivod, Megadeth etc., stuff that everyone has. I do still have a lot of tapes to rip and tons of vinyl which I plan on ripping before I sell them on ebay. We'll see what happens with file sharing and how motivated I am in the future. I'm gonna listen to all this shit now.
Supposedly, MEGA is joining the European Union on May 15th. This likely means no more sharing files. I've paid my debt to society for everything I've downloaded. What sticks at workupload can stay, but I'm not going to put any more effort into this. So get downloading!

I don't know what that European Union notification was about, mega still works. Those accounts I couldn't get into are gone now, someday I'll reupload all that stuff.

5/23 Looks like MEGA still works.
A lot of files are being taken down on workupload, I'm not going to constantly reupload. If someone wants something, leave a comment. SEE BELOW:
To all BANDS, RECORD COMPANIES, LAWYERS, EX-WIVES, HEIRS, ETC. If you want something taken down, leave a comment and I'll delete the post and the file.
I'd be willing to bet that some of these people who are looking for things to take down find something that they like and download it. Wouldn't they be disappointed to see a "file not found"? Ironic.
Mgmt.

New ripping software, seems to work well. FreeRIP
I've wanted a backlit keyboard forever. Thankfully, little speaker technology has advanced too.
So I'll be back doing things.
